There are three reasons why Empire Turkeys and Turkey Breasts have a wonderful flavor.

1. They are true free-range animals. They move about on their own and are fed a healthful grain based feed. They have not been injected with growth hormones.
2. Once slaughtered, these turkeys are not dipped in scalding water to facilitate the feather removal process. Instead, the animals are placed in cool water. While this leads to the presence of pin feathers on some of the turkeys, the result is more flavorful, less dry turkeys.
3. These turkeys are soaked and salted (brined) which adds to their flavor.

Empire Turkeys are frequently in short supply.  If we run out of Empire, we reserve the right to substitute with Rubashkin Kosher Turkeys.  Every effort will be made to notify you if we need to make a switch.
